About

Goose: An Annual Review of Short Fiction was founded in 2011 as a journal committed to the promotion of short fiction written by University of Toronto students. Goose operates as a Victoria College club and adheres to a constitution that accords with VUSAC by-laws (available to download below). The club heads and Executive are Victoria College students, while all University of Toronto undergraduates, regardless of college or faculty affiliation, are welcome to apply for Editorial Board and miscellaneous positions.

Goose aims to publish the best in student fiction from the U of T community. Our goal is to encourage undergraduate students seeking publication and future careers as writers by fostering a community of creative and critical peer review. The journal, published annually in the spring, showcases the imagination and creativity of U of T students. Print copies are distributed across campus and are available as a free publication.

We invite all undergraduate students to submit their creative work. Guidelines for submissions can be found on the Submit page.
